TDS (The Dining Society) provides Chinese and International fine dining experiences for members while trainees obtain comprehensive culinary and hospitality training. For this project, students created a centerpiece for dining tables, creating a festive dining experience and attracting more guests to the restaurant.

This project aims to design and produce a festive centerpiece prototype for the training restaurant (TDS) in Kowloon Bay Campus. The design should be compact, not occupying too much space on the dining table. Students presented in groups their ideas and production of the centerpiece, specifications, survey findings and the stakeholders’ feedback about the prototype.

DVB (Sport) students applied what they have learnt at Jockey Club Mus-fit Action Health Assessment Day, offering their support to middle-aged and older individuals attending the event. They conducted health assessment and played a vital role in enhancing the overall experience for the participants. Their unwavering commitment and contributions truly exemplified their eagerness to promote healthy living and raise orthopedic health awareness in our community.

Students design smart interactive sports training for primary school students, apply what they have learned. They visited the Salvation Army Tin Ka Ping School to provide training for primary school students, promoting smart technologies in sports. 

DVE (Hairdressing) students provided voluntary hair-cutting services for the elderly in the community, giving them an opportunity to showcase the results of their hard work and serve the community.

Besides learning how to organize an event, students get the chance to take part in different roles in an event. Photo and video shooting team was responsible for the following tasks:

Students showcase their professional skills and knowledge to the community, including the elderly, through taster activities for hand care and skincare.

The 1st Concept 2023 Project Show

The aim of the sports taster is to let participants experience the challenge and fun of blind football. We use sports to promote understanding and respect for visually impaired individuals. We hope to encourage people to overcome their differences and limitations and promote a harmonious community.

During the past 3 years of COVID, teachers and students had limited interaction through online platforms which greatly affected the relationship. The two exciting competitions aim to bring happy memories to teachers and students, as well as to promote sports.
