Youth College proudly celebrates the success of its students at the OMC World Cup Paris 2026 – Junior Rising Star Team Trial, co-organized with the OMC Hong Kong Image Designer Association at Youth College (Kwai Fong) on 22 April 2026.
OMC is an international organization that promotes excellence in the hair, beauty and nail industries through international competitions and professional development initiatives. Its prestigious world championships provide a platform for emerging talents to showcase their creativity, technical skills and professionalism on the global stage.
The trial brought together 16 students from the Diploma of Vocational Education (Hairdressing) programme, demonstrating exceptional passion, craftsmanship and innovation. Competing in the Junior Rising Star Team – Romantic Bridal & Open Wave category, the students impressed the judging panel with creative hairstyling techniques and professional presentation skills. Following a highly competitive selection process, three Youth College students distinguished themselves with outstanding performances and were selected to advance to the international finals: HUANG Kin-yeung, LAU Koon-shing and TONG Ka-chun. In recognition of their achievements, the three students have been awarded sponsorship from OMC Hong Kong to compete at the OMC World Cup Paris 2026 Final in Paris this September.
Representing both Youth College and Hong Kong, they will compete against talented contestants from 52 countries and regions, gaining valuable international exposure while showcasing their skills on a world-class stage. This remarkable accomplishment reflects the quality of vocational education at Youth College and the students' dedication to excellence in the hairdressing profession. Youth College warmly congratulates the three finalists and wishes them every success as they prepare to represent Hong Kong in Paris.
