Certificate in Plumbing and Pipefitting

This Programme aims to provide working adults and in-service apprentices with craft knowledge and practical training in plumbing and pipefitting. Areas covered include Plumbing Practice, Plumbing & Construction Drawing, Potable & Flush Water Supplies, Fire Services Mechanical Installation, Building Construction, Hot Water Supply, Plumbing Measurement, Introduction to Information Technology, Plumbing Science, Plumbing Mathematics, Drainage Systems, Combined Services Engineering Drawing, Pipe Work Installation, etc.

This Programme is approved by the Water Supplies Department (WSD) of the HKSAR Government as a pre-requisite for recognition as a Licensed Plumber.  Graduates could gain employment opportunities in construction sites or renovation companies as craftsmen in plumbing and pipefitting. They could also attend short courses to help them acquire plumbers' licences recognised by the Water Supplies Department.  Pursuant to the Water Supply Ordinance, all plumbing installation (except some minor works) must be undertaken by Licensed Plumbers.  Given a great demand for qualified plumbers in the construction industry, this Programme will provide our graduates with a good career prospect.
