The industry partners of VTC have reached out to YC to invite some students to design a one-week image proposal for their clients. As one of the styling teams, students will design a 1-week proposal based on users' backgrounds and needs. Through the project, students show their professional knowledge and skills.

First, students conduct market research or surveys to gather information on clients' fashion tastes, lifestyle, and budget. Then they tailor made a proposal to clients' specific needs and preferences. They included a range of looks for different occasions (casual, formal, business attire). Makeup and hairstyle options were also suggested based on clients' skin tone, hair type, and personal style. Finally, a complete image solution that aligns with clients' preferences and needs was presented.

PROJECT BACKGROUND

In Hong Kong, several grassroots elements, including streets, places, and landscapes, are being demolished. The city's buildings and landscapes are now expected to be modern, high-end, middle-class, bright, tidy, and new. As a result, the street culture that was developed by absorbing the local environment and people has slowly vanished from the old streets and districts of the city, leading to the erasure of Hong Kong's citizens' most authentic urban memories. The old markets serve as a prime example of this loss.To capture the essence of Hong Kong's old markets, a considerable amount of time was spent on collecting data and I have decided to showcase it through four tunnel books, along with lights and sounds.

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The term "Attosecond" refers to an extremely short, momentary event, reminding us to seize the best moments of life before they slip away. Life is beautiful but short. To document every moment of growth, this clock features an unconventional way of displaying time while also accommodating small houseplants inside. This integration embodies the essence of 'carpe diem,' encouraging us to make the most of our time and appreciate the fleeting beauty of life.

This project won Merit Award (Student Group) in the 39th HK Watch & Clock Design Competition.

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The theme of the design is "Golden Rebellious," which incorporates the ripples of water and a goldfish to create the illusion of the water being filled with gold. The goal of this project is to bring together the tenets of Feng Shui and the cultural significance of goldfish. Feng shui is an ancient Chinese practice that involves arranging the space and environment in a way that promotes harmony, balance, and positive energy flow. The term "feng shui" literally translates to "wind-water" in English, and it is based on the concept that the quality of energy, or "qi," in a space can have a significant impact on the well-being and success of the people who inhabit it. Goldfish is believed to be the symbol of wealth.
